Our course offering after leaving school take the following format:
16-19 Courses
From the 2010-11 academic year we can offer training at Post 16 as part of a wider engagement programme for learners.
In the current academic year this training is offered only from our Witney Centre for learners interested in Construction skills.
Learners will work towards a level 1 diploma in basic construction skills through City & Guilds.
Trades covered include:
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Bricklaying
- Decorating
Awards and Certificates in construction are also available and learners will have the opportunity to work towards a CSCS card and a Certificate in Employment and Personal and Social Development.
19+ Courses
For those of you over 19, we offer an extensive suite of cross-training and trade courses at all levels, including NVQ. These courses are currently offered only from our Aylesbury centre and consist of evening, weekend and school-holiday programmes.
Evening courses (starting at 5.30pm and finishing at 9.00pm) are:
- DIY Skills
- Foundation Construction
- Bricklaying Master classes
- Carpentry Master classes
- Electrical Master classes
- Decorating Master classes
Weekend courses (Saturday 9.00am – Sunday 4.00pm) are:
- Foundation Construction
- Foundation Catering
- Trade cross-training (for existing trades people who want to learn new trades)
School holiday courses (not available in the Christmas holiday period) are:
- Foundation Construction
- Foundation Catering
- Trade cross-training (for existing trades people who want to learn new trades)
- Trade specific NVQ courses (construction only)
