Skill Centre UK provides high-quality vocational training for schools and other education providers working with 14-19 year olds. Our training is accredited to level 1 or 2 by City & Guilds and BTEC and can be delivered from one of our centres or in your school. We can also offer managed courses whereby your own staff deliver the training and we provide the quality and qualification management from our head office in Aylesbury. For the 2009/10 school year we are offering courses in construction, catering, landscape gardening, horticulture and interior design. Additionally we can manage qualifications in any vocational course offered by City & Guilds or Edexcel.

All our training is provided by qualified staff who are trades people first and instructors second. This ensures that your students receive the best and most up-to-date training that is available from staff who have real and recent experience in the trades they are teaching. This coupled with our in-house apprenticeship scheme offers and all round training solution that helps your students achieve their
full potential at every step of the journey.

In January 2010 we launch our Adult Training package which aims to retrain or top up skills in the general workforce. Technical courses cover the following trades: plastering, plumbing, bricklaying, carpentry and decorating and are accredited to level 1 or 2 through City & Guilds. NVQ training is available if you already work in the industry and need to update your qualifications.

In addition we are also re-launching our DIY programmes which teach people all the basic DIY skills needed to maintain a house. Delivered in conjunction with our trade partners, this course gives learners access to real trades people as well as discounted tools and materials. Details of all these courses will be made available on the website in December 2009.
